PNOC Foundation Enhances Donation Options to Accelerate Pediatric Brain Cancer Research

Innovative Giving Includes Over 100+ Cryptocurrencies, Online Donor-Advised Fund

SAN RAFAEL, CA (November 24, 2024) –  The PNOC Foundation, dedicated to eradicating pediatric brain cancer, is excited to announce the expansion of its donation platforms. In collaboration with The Giving Block, the Foundation now accepts easy, online contributions via donor-advised funds (DAFs), stock donations, and cryptocurrency. These enhanced giving options provide supporters with diverse and convenient methods to fund groundbreaking research and clinical trials aimed at improving outcomes for children with brain tumors.

"Our mission is to lose no child to brain cancer," said Bruce Campbell, President of the PNOC Foundation. "By broadening our donation avenues, and using innovative online tools, we make it easier for donors to support our critical work. This expansion not only simplifies the giving process but also allows us to engage with a global community of supporters committed to advancing pediatric brain cancer research."

Expanded Giving Opportunities for DAFs and Stock Donations

The PNOC Foundation has streamlined the process for contributions through donor-advised funds and stock donations. Donors can now quickly and securely connect their accounts to make gifts, offering a tax-efficient way to support the Foundation's mission. These expanded giving opportunities are vital in advancing research into treatments and cures for various pediatric brain cancers, including diffuse midline glioma, medulloblastoma, and ependymoma.

Cryptocurrency Donations

Embracing modern philanthropy and welcoming the next generation of investors, the PNOC Foundation now accepts cryptocurrency donations. Supporters can contribute using a wide array of digital currencies, including Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and USD Coin (USDC). Given that cryptocurrency is classified as property by the IRS, donors may benefit from tax advantages, such as exemption from capital gains taxes and potential tax deductions.
